Focus on the Frontier of Mine Construction and Discuss the Intelligent Future - Litian Attends the 2025 National Mine Construction Academic Conference

    From September 20th to 21st, the 2025 National Mine Construction Academic Conference, guided by the China Coal Society, sponsored by the Mine Construction and Geotechnical Engineering Professional Committee of the China Coal Society, and co-hosted by CRCHI, was grandly held in Changsha, Hunan Province. As a key participant in the field of mine construction, Litian’s core technical team was invited to attend the conference, joining nearly 300 experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and industry enterprises. Together, they engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of “Green and Intelligent Mine Construction”, exploring new paths for high-quality industry development.

    At the sub-forum on“Intelligent and Digital Mine Construction Technologies”, Ms. Yu Lili, Technical Director of Litian, delivered a keynote speech titled “Revolution in Extremely Hard Rock Excavation — Litian’s Innovative Practice.” Drawing on real engineering cases, she shared the company’s technological breakthroughs and innovations in extremely hard rock tunneling:


    Technological Innovation:

    Aiming at the problems in ultra-hard rock tunneling, such as the short service life of TBM single cutters and the impact on construction efficiency due to frequent replacement, the TBM disc cutters independently developed by Litian have achieved major breakthroughs in rock-breaking mechanism and wear-resistant design.


    Typical Case:

    In the Beishan Underground Laboratory Project in Gansu, Litian collaborated with CRCHI and China Railway 18th Bureau, customized and developed a combined scheme of "20-inch extremely hard rock disc cutters + 18-inch center disc cutters". The 20-inch disc cutter adopts a composite structure of "customized bearing + gradient hardness cutter ring", and is equipped with a pressure self-balancing system to realize real-time adjustment of thrust. The 18-inch center disc cutter adopts a double-edged conical design to enhance positioning ability. This scheme has effectively reduced the frequency of cutter replacement, increased the monthly advance footage, and greatly improved the construction efficiency.


    Structural Optimization:

    Litian introduced an innovative “narrow–medium–wide” three-zone edge design for the cutter rings, combined with upgraded material processes to minimize potential forging defects. This achievement received high recognition from attending experts. The 20-inch extremely hard rock cutter has passed authoritative certification by a national laboratory, and its performance data has been officially recorded in the National Major Equipment Database.


    Industry–Academia–Research Collaboration:

    Litian continues to advance deep integration between enterprises and universities, partnering with Dalian University of Technology, Central South University, and Southwest Jiaotong University. Focusing on mechanical design, rail transit, and mining materials, the collaboration drives joint research on core technologies, promotes the transformation of scientific achievements, and enhances product competitiveness.


    During the on-site exchanges, Litian team also conducted in-depth docking with CRCHI, Beijing China Coal Mine Engineering Co., Ltd. and other units on the collaborative innovation of "equipment-technology-engineering", and discussed the possibility of cooperation in the development of deep-buried mining areas in the western region and the utilization of underground space in abandoned mines.

    Looking to the Future:


    Taking this annual conference as an opportunity, Litian will focus on three major directions to continue its efforts:


    1. Deepen technical collaboration with leading enterprises in the industry to promote the integrated innovation of intelligent equipment and engineering technology;


    2. Focus on the research and development of green construction technologies, and make key breakthroughs in key technologies such as comprehensive utilization of waste rock and low-carbon mining;


    3. Accelerate digital transformation and build an integrated intelligent management and control system of "monitoring-analysis-decision-making".


    After two days of in-depth exchanges and discussions, our company will further deepen technical collaboration with leading enterprises such as CRCHI in the future to promote the integrated innovation of intelligent equipment and engineering technology. Litian will continue to take innovation-driven development as the engine to help the mine construction industry move towards greenization, intellectualization and high-quality development.
